Overview:
Our neurosurgery practice near Plano is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to serve as first assistant during spine and brain surgeries and support patient care throughout the surgical journey. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule within a specialized surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

n
• Serve as first assistant to the neurosurgeon during spine and brain surgeries
n
• See patients ahead of the physician in clinic and consult with the surgeon on findings
n
• Manage medication refills for patients
n
• Provide patient education
n
• Assist with physician charting and documentation
n
• Round on hospitalized patients during on-call weeks
n

Qualifications:

n
• Active, current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in Texas
n
• RNFA certification, active DEA registration, and ACLS certification required
n
• Minimum 2 years of surgery experience
n
• Additional neurology or neurosurgery-related continuing education or certifications preferred
n
