Your Responsibilities

• Undertaking thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in collaboration with physicians or independently (according to credentialing)
• Educating patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and effective disease management strategies
• Prescribing medications and therapies within the defined scope of your practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and providing chronic care management

Academic Credentials

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Current certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or ability to obtain these within 90 days)
