  • End Date/Duration: Ongoing; 10-14 days per month
  • Shift: 6am-6pm in-facility, 6pm-6am on-call (24-hour coverage)
  • Hours/week: Variable, based on scheduling
  • Employment Type: Contract (with potential for ongoing assignments)
  • Licenses/Certs: Board certified in Neonatology (preferred), Board eligible, NRP certified, must have experience with intubation, chest tube placement, central lines, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, ventilator management including oscillators and iNO
  • Experience: Prior NICU experience required, handling Level III NICU cases such as RDS, Pulmonary Hypertension, NAS, VLBW, and sepsis

What You'll Do:
  • Provide specialized care to neonates within a Level III NICU setting
  • Support respiratory management including ventilators, oscillators, and iNO
  • Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, central line insertion, paracentesis, spinal taps, and exchange transfusions
  • Stabilize surgical and critically ill infants for transfer to higher-level care as needed
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced nurses, RTs, and consulting specialists
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Cerner EHR system
  • Adhere to facility protocols and ensure high standards of neonatal care
What You Need:
  • Valid license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Michigan
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology
  • NRP certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years NICU experience or equivalent
  • Strong skills in neonatal procedures, ventilator management, and emergency care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of handling high-pressure situations
