Position Overview
Location: Hoschton, GA – Pay Rate: $74.87 per hour.
We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner for a patient‑facing primary care role in Hoschton, GA. The MinuteClinic nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive care—including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health counselling, chronic condition management, and disposition planning—in collaboration with a dedicated clinical care team.
Schedule
- 30–40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend and holiday rotations may apply (three out of every six weekends unless otherwise noted)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary and family healthcare services, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health conditions.
- Evaluate and treat patients through routine examinations, acute care visits, chronic condition management, and preventive health services.
- Deliver patient education regarding healthy lifestyle choices, wellness, screenings, and disease prevention.
- Perform diagnostic testing and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
- Encourage patients to actively participate in their healthcare and wellness goals.
- Complete administrative responsibilities: clinic opening and closing procedures, inventory management, patient follow‑up, insurance verification and payment collection, maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, and document patient encounters accurately within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the clinical care team to support quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current National Board Certification.
- Active NP license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent primary‑care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine, Primary Care Practice, or Urgent Care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
- Strong knowledge of chronic disease management and quality measures.
- Ability to practice autonomously while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare technology.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing chronic care patients.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced outpatient, urgent care, or retail health environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical systems (EMS/EHR platforms).
Additional Requirements
- DEA registration may be required during onboarding.
- High‑speed internet and technology proficiency may be required for clinical systems.
- Prior CVS/Aetna experience is not required.
Work Environment
Patient‑facing clinical role. Onsite as needed. Reports directly to the Practice Manager.
