Guided by a "Culture of Caring" philosophy, our staff and dedicated volunteer practitioners are committed to serving patients of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds with dignity and respect.Position OverviewThe Nurse Practitioner will provide regularly scheduled adult primary and preventive patient care and urgent care services — working collaboratively with our Medical Director, nursing staff, and volunteer practitioners to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to BVMI's multicultural patient population.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform complete history and physical exams for regularly scheduled patients; order diagnostic tests and prescribe appropriate treatment, consulting with the Medical Director as neededProvide coverage for urgent care needs including initial assessment, treatment, and triageRespond to phone calls from established patients seeking advice or medication refillsServe as backup in the absence of the Nurse Manager, including oversight of patient flow and direct nursing support during clinical sessionsAssist in tracking patient care follow-up and quality assurance protocolsCollaborate with medical staff to implement and enhance patient care programsPerform chart reviews and maintain proficiency in BVMI's EMR system; serve as a resource to other practitioners as neededPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsActive, unrestricted Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) license in New Jersey requiredMinimum 5 years experience in a multi-physician or hospital-based primary care settingStrong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with professional medical staff and volunteersProficiency with electronic medical recordsBilingual Spanish/English preferredCommitment to BVMI's mission and "Culture of Caring" philosophyJoin Our TeamMake a difference in the lives of our patients — apply today!
