We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in a virtual setting. Responsibilities
- Conduct intake and medication management appointments via telehealth
- Complete all appointment notes within 24 hours of the appointment
- Review new client intake paperwork prior to the initial appointment
- Manage all prescription requests, including all prior authorization requests and other necessary paperwork
- Utilize evidence-based practices to facilitate healing and recovery.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of client care and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within a virtual setting to provide integrated care for clients.
- Stay informed about current best practices in psychopharmacology and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Flexible hours: Monday to Friday.
- Marketing, credential, and billing support.
- Pay is a 70/30 split.
- Possibility of a W-2 salaried position with additional benefits after 1 year and meeting certain standards.
Qualifications
- Maintain an unrestricted license in Iowa as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Experience in eating disorders is preferred.
- Commitment to a weight-neutral approach is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge and training in the delivery of telemedicine.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to confidentiality.
- Abides by the code of ethics subscribed to by the respective licensing organization.
- Access to a computer with video and audio capabilities and have skills in basic problem-solving related to technology issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in coding for mental health services is a plus.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting is desirable.
