Nurse Practitioner-Critical Care: Intensivist

Job Summary

Banner University Medicine seeks a dynamic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. The selected ACNP directly manages cardiac intensive care unit patients within a division that is committed to the growth and career development of their team.

Responsibilities

• Comfortable with evening care management of patients
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
• Interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications
• Provide education, consultation, and conduct research

Minimum Requirements

• Current ACNP certification
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances
• Experience or new graduates with prior cardiology or critical care experience are encouraged to apply

Work Schedule

• Full Time
• 3–12 hour shifts per week
• Night, swing, and weekend shifts required
