Nurse Manager, Stroke Unit

Work Shift: Day; Work Days: Days vary, Monday‑Friday, alternating weekends and holidays; Scheduled Hours: Hours vary; Pay: $130,000‑$140,000

Responsibilities

• Accountable for 24‑hour management of the rehab program.
• Responsible for organizational planning, and the clinical rehab nursing practice which includes assessing, planning, implementing and supervising patient care and professional growth.
• Supervises 40‑50 employees on day, evening and night shifts.
• Collaborates with other professional disciplines in developing and implementing clinical rehabilitation programs.
• House Supervisor on weekends (once every eight weeks) and occasional holidays.

Requirements

• Progressive experience in clinical rehabilitation nursing and nursing management.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Certification in rehabilitation nursing (or obtained as soon as eligible).
• NYS license required.
• Strong clinical, leadership, and management skills; good interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships; a high level of initiative and creative problem‑solving ability.
