Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OR Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations across General OR, Cardiac OR, Orthopedic OR, and Ambulatory Surgery . This role leads nursing teams, manages department resources, and works with surgical and anesthesia leadership to improve patient care and OR performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical operations across multiple OR areas.
- Lead and support 3 Assistant Nurse Managers and up to 120 FTEs .
- Manage operating and capital budgets and address financial variances.
- Improve OR utilization, case turnover, and patient throughput .
- Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and hospital leadership.
- Support staff development, clinical advancement, certifications, and education.
- Conduct performance evaluations and promote a culture of accountability.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from a CCNE-accredited program.
- Active Maryland RN license .
- Current AHA BLS certification .
- National nursing certification.
- 3–5 years of progressive OR nursing experience , including supervisory/leadership experience.
- Strong leadership, financial management, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Master's degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, MS, or MA ).
