What You'll Do
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and goals.
- Manage day-to-day operations and ensure team members are knowledgeable in emergency/disaster response.
- Monitor nursing standards of practice and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Develop, plan, evaluate, and monitor budgetary and financial priorities for patient care.
- Promote cost-effective use of organizational resources and manage staffing plans.
- Demonstrate leadership by establishing supportive partnerships in care and mentoring team members.
- Supervise and evaluate educational programs and evidence-based practice.
- Support the Magnet Program by ensuring participation in shared governance and data collection.
- Prioritize organizational goals and lead committee work with performance improvement goals.
- Professionally review complaints and follow up with appropriate departments.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Experience:
- 3+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- 3+ years' progressive leadership experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
