ICU Nurse Manager (Full Time)

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, a full-service hospital in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced ICU Nurse Manager. The hospital offers 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health services, an ambulatory pavilion, a 500‑car garage, and a helipad.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the ICU, ensuring safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation based on patient acuity and census.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate nursing staff to promote clinical excellence and professional development.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (patient outcomes, LOS, infection rates, staff engagement) and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and unit performance.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and staff engagement strategies.
  • Oversee budget, productivity, and supply management.
  • Promote evidence‑based practice, quality, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Address patient, family, and staff concerns while fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • DC RN license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • CCRN preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU Nurse Management experience in an acute care setting.
