Job Description

• Oversee 24‑hour nursing care for assigned unit in compliance with policies, regulations, and long‑term care standards.
• Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure continuity, quality, and resident satisfaction.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff; manage schedules, performance, and staffing needs.
• Maintain accurate medical records, ensure compliance with medication procedures, and participate in care plan meetings, surveys, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Provide clinical support, restorative care oversight, and effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams while fostering a positive, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN or LPN License from the State of Maryland.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in geriatric nursing including two (2) years of experience as a Charge Nurse/Manager in geriatric care with progressive experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity.
• Current CPR required.
• IV certification preferred.
