Avalon, CA (Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Infectious Disease-RN - Responsible to maintain and keep current three copies of the Infection Control and Prevention Manual. This includes writing all IC|IP policies for the manual. Do routine Infection Control inspections of the facility. Document findings and notify the department managers and appropriate staff as indicated. Keep a log of the quarterly Infection Control Check lists for each department involved. A summary of the quarterly check lists is reported to the Medical Staff and the Board of Directors. Provide in-services annually based on Title 22 and whenever a need is recognized or required for all staff. Work closely with Environmental Services and the Safety Committee. Schedule and maintain records for all employees regarding their annual PPD TB screening, Influenza injections, HepB, MMR and Varicella immunizations.
