Scope of Practice
Within the Surgical Services platform the Nurse Director will guide a high‑acuity, full‑continuum perioperative program that includes Pre‑Admission Testing, Pre‑Op, OR, PACU, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing. The role is supported by modern workflows, streamlined EHR builds, real‑time analytics, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Leadership & Partnerships
The position reports to a Chief Nursing Officer or VP of Patient Care Services and partners closely with the OR Medical Director, anesthesia leadership, and sterile processing leaders. It also works with experienced OR managers, PACU/Pre‑Op leaders, clinical educators, service line coordinators, and business analytics staff.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic planning, quality and safety oversight, infection prevention, surgeon relations, block scheduling optimization, throughput management, budget and capital planning, regulatory readiness, equipment and implant strategy, and growth of robotics and specialty service lines.
