Step into a leadership role as a Nurse Director of Labor & Delivery in Northwest Oklahoma, where you will energize maternal‑newborn care and lead a high‑performance Birthplace unit that is recognized for safety, exceptional patient experience, and regional expertise.
The Nurse Director will work with a multidisciplinary team—including obstetric physicians, nurse‑midwives, anesthesiology, pediatrics/neonatology, lactation consultants, case managers, pharmacy, and social work—to deliver compassionate, family‑centered care across obstetric services, birthing, triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead managers, educators, and charge RNs and partner with clinical stakeholders to implement strategy, staffing, budgeting, and quality initiatives.
- Ensure readiness for regulatory compliance, quality and safety programs, and perinatal safety drills.
- Set and maintain fetal monitoring and throughput standards, optimizing labor‑delivery processes and operating‑room access for cesarean deliveries.
- Mentor and support a diverse, highly skilled interdisciplinary team that values inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Champion high standards and seamless patient flow within the Birthplace Center.
