Fort Eisenhower is adjacent to Augusta, GA, and offers a moderate year‑round climate with proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches, and the Appalachian Mountains.

Responsibilities

• Interview and take medical histories to acquire medically necessary information to assess the physical and mental status of patients.
• Perform triage, considering both physical and psychosocial elements.
• Observe, monitor, and assess patients’ conditions.
• Teach, onboard, and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
• Function as a charge nurse on a rotational basis.
• Conduct and participate in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of facility, departmental, or unit‑based programs.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care.

Qualifications

• US Citizen.
• Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time of completion.
• Active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• All Health Care Providers must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA). Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
