Job TitlePosition dictates applying extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to the management of assigned projects while making independent decisions. Individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining close working relationships with client to include professional and social interaction with key home office and site individuals. This position requires individual to be a liaison between client and company.ResponsibilitiesKey activities are monitoring the status of all ongoing projects to include budget, schedule, scope changes, review of deliverables relative to scope and client expectations, participation in company weekly schedule meeting and preparation of monthly status reports. The selected candidate will ensure that contractual requirements are met, addresses, and resolves contractual issues, initiates contract changes, and facilitates payment for services. Candidate will be responsible to review, approve and correct (as needed) invoices applicable to project work.Additionally, responsible for understanding and communicating to company staff client's processes and procedures, and facilitates training of company staff, when needed. Individual shall have practical knowledge of routine precedent design, working knowledge of engineering principles for applicable solving problems.Candidate shall have the ability to coordinate projects from earliest phases to budgets, design through issuance of construction drawings, and final project completion close-out. Candidate shall prepare Project Plans, budgets and schedules and be responsible to control the project scope, budget, and schedule.QualificationsEducation Required (minimum): BS in engineering or other technical specialty from an accredited university with course work in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or similar technical scope is required.Experience Required (minimum): 10 years (minimum) of experience with design engineering, project management and client relations is required.

Experience with operating plant procedures, processes, budget analysis, and budget forecasting is required. Ability to manage, motivate and organize team members, communicating and providing technical direction and task assignments is required.Other Required Qualifications (minimum): All applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel and Power Point is required with competency in software applications for email and databases. Effective time management skills are required as position may involve working on several projects concurrently. Knowledge of and experience in project scheduling techniques is required. Successful candidate will be required to understand and comply with company policies, procedures, processes as well as those financial obligations that would apply to projects. Ability to pass security and drug screening and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access is required. Overtime work is required. Travel is required to client sites. Ability to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment, to include climbing ladders, accessing security-controlled areas, and entering confined spaces and controlled hazardous areas is required.Preferred Education: MS in engineering or other technical specialty from an accredited university with course work in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or similar technical scope is desired.Certification(s) or License(s) Preferred (minimum): Professional Engineering registration (EIT or PE), and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification are highly preferred.Certain positions at Zachry Nuclear may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
