What You'll Do:
Nuclear Pharmacy Operations
- Oversee daily nuclear pharmacy operations during assigned shifts
- Prepare and compound radiopharmaceuticals, including radiolabeling procedures
- Perform and oversee quality control testing to ensure product safety and accuracy
- Supervise unit-dose packaging and preparation for shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and couriers
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance, productivity, and quality standards
- Oversee radiation safety and quality assurance programs
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and USP <825> standards
- Maintain strict medication safety and error-prevention practices
- Manage expired product disposal and compliance processes
- Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, ordering, and reconciliation
- Identify discrepancies and ensure accurate tracking of materials
- Support financial monitoring, including expense tracking and variance reporting
- Respond to customer inquiries and ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Process and manage orders within pharmacy systems
- Support after-hours coverage and emergency response as needed
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and operational enhancements
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program
- Licensed Pharmacist and Nuclear Pharmacist in the State of Florida (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Completion of Authorized User program with 500 hours of experiential training
- Minimum of 2+ years of nuclear pharmacy experience
- Knowledge of USP <825> standards
- Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) experience
- Experience with BioRX/RMIS or similar systems
