Job Description
The nuclear Medicine technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed practitioner. He/she exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program).
Salary and Benefits
Pay Range: $51.76 - $80.34 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
