Job Title

Peak Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Full‑time, Peak rate $70.00/hr

Job Summary

The role is located in the Nuclear Medicine Department at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will administer radioactive medication, operate imaging equipment, and process image reports to detect disease while ensuring patient safety and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality diagnostic procedures.
• Sterilize syringes and prepare patients for scans.
• Process image reports indicating the presence of disease.
• Adhere to Florida rules and regulations regarding radiation control and radioactive materials.
• Protect patients, self, and others from unnecessary or excessive radiation exposure.
• Comply with mandatory education and health requirements.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• Experience with radioactive material handling.
• Knowledge of state and federal radiation regulations.
• Experience working in a hospital setting.
• Preferred experience with geriatric and cardiac patients.
