Role Overview The Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radiopharmaceuticals intravenously to diagnose or treat diseases, utilizing radioisotope equipment. They perform diagnostic screening procedures, prepare radioactive materials, and ensure procedure quality and patient safety.

Role Overview The Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radiopharmaceuticals intravenously to diagnose or treat diseases, utilizing radioisotope equipment. They perform diagnostic screening procedures, prepare radioactive materials, and ensure procedure quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies.
• Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
• Document procedures and radioactive materials accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow and provide preparation instructions.
• Report issues or challenges to senior staff and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program (required).
• State license in Nuclear Medicine (required in CA and HI).
• Certification by ARRT or NMTCB (required in CA and OR).
• Venipuncture certification (required in CA and HI).

Essential Skills: Knowledge of radioisotope preparation and administration, patient care, documentation, and safety protocols. Ability to coordinate procedures and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
