Location: Elmwood Park Hub – Elmwood Park, NJ 07407
Type: Full Time
Salary: $65.00 – $70.00 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $25,000

Overview

Diagnostic Imaging Solutions (DIS), a subsidiary of Catalyst MedTech, is the nationwide leader in mobile nuclear cardiology. We seek a licensed NMT who thrives on mobility and delivers exemplary patient care alongside Cardiac Stress Tech partners. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends, holiday shifts, or on‑call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional and/or perfusion rest and stress cardiac studies, including image processing for physician review.
  • Implement policies and procedures covering daily quality control, equipment operations, exam procedures, radiation safety, isotope calibrating and transportation, and dose ordering via electronic methods.
  • Start IVs using aseptic techniques.
  • Administer prescribed isotopes and pharmaceuticals according to national standards and company protocol.
  • Maintain all federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure patient safety while providing high quality testing.
  • Conduct daily quality control checks and calibrations on camera; complete required NRC/State documentation.
  • Follow radiation safety policies and NRC/State guidelines, including daily surveys of hot lab, exam room, camera, and personnel.
  • Accurately document patient test results and medical history using EMR; additional administrative documentation may be required.
  • Support mobile operations: move, load, unload, and transport imaging equipment with company van; prepare and tear down operations at customer sites; manage pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and waste disposal; document daily usage and occurrences with the vehicle.
  • Provide consistent, excellent customer service at all times.
  • Travel to client sites as scheduled, driving a company van and complying with Radiation Safety and DOT regulations for transportation of equipment, supplies, and radioactive material.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active NMTCB or ARRT(N) licensure, or successful completion of an approved nuclear medicine program with pending NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification.
  • State licensure in good standing, if applicable.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with team to push or pull medical equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions

Work is performed at outpatient imaging centers, hospitals, clinics, and physician offices with moderate to high patient volume. Mobile teams focus on cardiac studies (SPECT) using an upright GAMA camera. Team members must travel in all weather conditions in a company van when required.

Occupational Exposure

Limited radiation exposure during nuclear medicine procedures using Technetium (Tc‑99m) based radiopharmaceuticals for cardiac (SPECT) imaging. Employees are required to follow company Radiation Safety Policies, including use of lead shielding, PPE, and universal precautions during patient care.
