How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare
Up to $30,000 new hire sign‑on bonus and up to $7,000 in relocation assistance are available. Hours are mainly M‑F dayshift with on‑call, rotating holiday and weekend coverage. Occasional coverage at Giles Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients of all ages.
- Operate highly specialized equipment to obtain images and test results.
- Administer diagnostic and therapeutic doses to patients under the direction of an authorized user by IV, inhalation, and ingestion.
- Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures, correlating patient history with the test to be performed.
- Assist with scheduling, registration, image management, and computer processing for patients.
- Evaluate, prepare and observe patients with professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience, and safety.
- Interact with other staff, patients, physicians, families, and general public.
- Develop, coordinate, and manage the plan of care with the healthcare team.
- Interpret relevant information to identify each patient’s requirements relative to age and specific needs, providing care per applicable policies and procedures.
- Participate in the training of students and staff as assigned.
- Enhance personal and professional growth through educational opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of a CAHEA School of Radiologic Technology and/or CAHEA School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by NMTCB or ARRT; AHA BLS‑HCP certification required.
- Other minimum qualifications: Apply knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served.
- Knowledge of radiopharmacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain Nuclear Medicine certification and obtain required CEUs per certification board.
