Role Overview:
Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, technicians are trained to handle and administer radionuclides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, operating specialized imaging and computer systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic exams for interpretation by Radiologists and Cardiologists, ensuring safety and accuracy in procedures.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Nuclear Medicine Program, with A.R.R.T. or CNMT certification. Experience with SPECT systems, cardiac imaging, and computer acquisition is required. CPR certification is mandatory.
Skills & Requirements:
Ability to rotate on-call shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintain 24 CEUs within 3 years and complete annual stroke education.
Licenses & Certifications:
A.R.R.T. or CNMT certification required for licensing and regulatory compliance.
