Overview
Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine/PET, and the Diagnostic Imaging Center Manager, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures on selected portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician for patients in specific age groups.
Responsibilities
- Perform both diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures.
- Receive, prepare, utilize, and administer radioactive materials, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and department guidelines.
- Review and verify that QA performed on unit doses from outside vendors meets department and state guidelines.
- Contribute to overall department productivity and operations.
- Work scheduled and on‑call hours as required and be available to work in multiple sites/locations (MCC, MMH, MKC, MIP, MSS).
Qualifications
- High School or GED; Associate degree preferred.
- Florida state license required – Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
- ARRT(N) or CNMT through NMTCB certification, or equivalent, required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- One year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferred.
Salary Range
$39.87 – $60.78 per hour
