Primary Duties

  • Actively participate in the quality assurance program by completing all requirements to maintain ICANL accreditation. Ensure equipment is available by coordinating preventive maintenance programs and scheduling emergency service calls to maintain an efficient patient schedule.
  • Maintain the daily patient schedule in collaboration with other staff members. Ensure correct doses of radioisotopes and pharmacologic stress agents are ordered and appropriately invoiced by communicating with approved vendors.
  • Maintain a log of patient data and stored images by entering correct patient demographic information and archiving studies to ensure complete and accurate records. Perform cardiac nuclear testing by following ICANL guidelines to ensure high‑quality diagnostic studies.
  • Perform quality controls daily, weekly, and quarterly on the nuclear camera, hot lab equipment, and crash cart. Prepare preliminary diagnostic reports by compiling relevant measurements and data to provide summary reports for physician review, interpretation, and signature. Provide patient instructions, answer questions relating to scheduled procedures, and obtain informed consent for the ordered testing to ensure quality care.
  • Recognize and alert the physician to abnormal patient responses and studies by immediately contacting the physician to discuss and assist with appropriate next steps. Send diagnostic reports or copies of MPI studies when required to ensure timely communication of patient data to referring physicians.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current Nuclear license with the NRC or State of Maryland.
  • Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Post‑graduation experience in a licensed facility, performing all aspects of cardiac nuclear testing preferred.

Salary

USD $35.68 - $64.71 per hour.
