Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the department manager; performs interpretive readings
- Handles patient care and technical functions related to CT imaging
- Participates in technical duties directly involved with CT, including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for the unit's use
- Acts as the first line interface with customers to support imaging needs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Graduate of an accredited, AMA approved school of Radiology Technology
- Active certification in Radiology Technology (ARRT-R)
- Active certification in CT (ARRT-CT) required or to be obtained within 18 months of date of hire/transfer
- Florida State License in Radiology Technology, or confirmed temporary license
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Proficiency with major CT equipment manufacturers' hardware and software
- Ability to multi-task daily
- Knowledge of filing systems, telephone etiquette and customer service
- Computer skills, medical terminology
