Record Management TechnicianRecord Management Technicians 1, 2, and 3 support the Social Security Administration's National Records Management contract in Independence, Missouri. Record Management Technicians work under the supervision of the Site Manager or designee.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Files and/or refiles documents into existing file foldersCompletes information searches of multiple active file foldersPerforms file mergesWorks with others to accurately perform tasks of the destruction of files in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Relocates and refiles portions of/or entire active files, boxes, and/or folders to a new locationArrange folders in batches with appropriate annotations preparing folders for quality control review and refilingReviews boxes of folders previously batched for accuracy, quality control, and preparing for final refilingConsecutively (sequencing) numbers boxes or folders with guidelines providedPrepares folders into boxes for shipmentCompletes Continuing Disability Review (CDR) recall, processing, and shippingProcesses and distributes mail, completes processes, and delivers reportsUpdates to Computerized Tracking System (CTS) for records accountability and maintenance purposesReallocating folders across boxes for purposes of recovering functional space in accordance with the SOP for Compaction/ExpansionComplete inventory on folder boxes in accordance with the Validation SOPComplete FedEx pack and seal duties and, when appropriate, function FedEx shipment stationCopying material from Social Security Administration (SSA) folders for the purpose of mailing or faxing to the appropriate field officesRequest folders using the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Computerized Tracking SystemProcess outgoing SSI folders and perform appropriate paperwork and filingPerform Sorting by filing boxes in ascending SSN order in accordance with the SOPProperly monitor and/or dispose of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with the SOPCompletes Dock work and palletizing of folder boxes in accordance with the SOPMove full boxes using warehouse equipmentBox Build and/or break down when neededBox paint when neededPerform Quality Control (QC) Reviews during operational needs and in accordance with the SOPOther duties as assigned by the supervisor or managementLevel Specific Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):Record Management Technician 1Obtain journeymen in at least three (3) departments, per the CBAMinimum Qualifications:All levels:Must meet standards of Post Offer Essential Functions (POET), which includes a drug test. As well as basic sequencing test.Two to three years of working experience preferred.High School graduate or GED equivalent.Read, write, and communicate using the English language sufficient to perform job functions.
