NP/PA - Gastroenterology - Fargo, ND

Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide advanced health assessment, decision‑making, and holistic care in a collaborative gastroenterology setting in Fargo, ND. The role focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, and treating patients across a broad age range.

Work Environment

Work alongside 2 physicians and 6 advanced practice clinicians in a team‑based model that includes a state‑of‑the‑art endoscopy suite. The position offers a 0.8–1.0 FTE status with a consistent Monday‑Friday, 8am‑5pm clinic schedule and occasional inpatient call coverage (Monday‑Friday, 7:30am‑4:30pm).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinic consults and follow‑ups with 7–12 outpatients per day.
• Provide occasional inpatient call coverage for consults and follow‑ups.
• Utilize advanced assessment and decision‑making skills independently and in partnership with physicians and other health care professionals.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Previous gastroenterology experience or knowledge.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse (NP) or Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant as required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
