Now Hiring Crate Builders 1st Shift- Gastonia, NCGastonia, North CarolinaJob Title: Crate Builder / FabricatorEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: Gastonia, NCPay: Starting at $20.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PMJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Crate Builder / Fabricator to join our team in Gastonia, NC. This position is responsible for constructing custom wood and metal crates used to safely package and transport products. The ideal candidate has experience with woodworking, fabrication, or assembly, can accurately read measurements and blueprints, and takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Measure, cut, and assemble wood, metal, and other materials according to blueprints, specifications, and customer requirementsConstruct custom shipping crates and packaging solutions for a variety of productsOperate hand and power tools safely, including nail guns, electric saws, drills, and measuring equipmentSecure products inside crates using appropriate bracing, padding, and fastening methods to prevent damage during transportationInspect materials and completed crates to ensure quality, structural integrity, and compliance with safety standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all company safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Assist with additional fabrication and warehouse duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Previous experience in woodworking, fabrication, carpentry, assembly, or a related fieldAbility to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic mathematical calculationsExperience operating hand and power tools safelyAbility to read blueprints, work orders, or technical drawingsAbility to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the shiftStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workReliable attendance and dependable work ethicPreferred Qualifications:Experience building custom crates or industrial packagingCarpentry, cabinet making, or construction experienceForklift experience is a plusManufacturing or warehouse experienceCore Competencies: Crate Building, Fabrication, Carpentry, Woodworking, Blueprint Reading, Power Tools, Assembly, Quality Inspection, Packaging, Safety Compliance, Attention to Detail, Teamwork, Time Management
