NoSQL DeveloperNetwork Infrastructure and Services (NI&S) provides network, wireless, public safety, voice, cable TV, computing and cloud services for faculty, staff, students, and partners at Virginia Tech. NI&S is seeking motivated individuals to be part of an agile development team designing and developing applications and integration solutions to support all aspects of NI&S operations to include business management systems, technology infrastructure management systems and automation solutions. A successful candidate will be resourceful, able to work independently, and be willing to learn.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or commensurate experienceExperience with noSQL document or graph databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Neo4jSignificant experience integrating applications with relational database systems, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQLSignificant experience developing PL/SQL or PL/pgSQL procedures and functionsProficiency working with complex SQL queries, subqueries, joins, triggers, and aggregation functionsExperience designing and documenting data modelsStrong organizational, communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related fieldAWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate)AWS Certified Solutions Developer (Associate)Advanced data analytics skills and experience with data visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Jasper, PowerBIExperience with cloud-based development (e.g.
