North Carolina Senior Accountant

To support a growing organization, the full-time remote North Carolina Senior Accountant will manage accounting operations, including payroll, general ledger activities, and month-end close processes while driving financial analysis and process improvements. Key responsibilities Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and month-end close entries and reconciliations Manage the General Ledger and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles through accurate reporting of business transactions Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement while documenting internal controls and participating in audits Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Active CPA designation preferred 5+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger and month-end close expertise Experience with accounting software, preferably Sage Intacct Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling capabilities
