This role will identify, prioritize, and execute cross-functional cost optimization opportunities while driving measurable bottom-line impact. You will partner with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality and Supply Chain teams to systematically reduce product and operational costs without compromising quality, delivery, or innovation.Key Responsibilities:Cost Reduction Strategy & ExecutionIdentify, evaluate, and prioritize cost-down opportunities across products, materials, logistics, and processesLead structured cost reduction projects from ideation through implementation and trackingDrive Value Engineering (VE) and Design-to-Cost (DtC) initiativesDevelop and execute cost roadmaps aligned with business targetsSupply Resiliency projects that reduce escalations and improve operational efficiencyProject & Program Management:Manage multiple cost optimization projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and savings targets are achievedComply with project governance, milestones, and reporting cadenceUse data-driven methods to track cost savings and ROIEstablish structured tracking mechanisms for all cost optimization initiativesDeliver regular updates (weekly/monthly) to management with clear insights and statusCross-Functional Leadership:Collaborate closely with: Procurement (supplier negotiations, resourcing) Engineering (design changes, material alternatives) Manufacturing (process improvements, automation) Finance (validation of savings, forecasting impacts) Supplier Quality Engineering (quality and standards requirements) Supply Chain (alignment, supplier communications, ERP updates) Customer (alignment, change management)Facilitate workshops or alignment meetings to drive consensus and progressAct as the central coordinator to ensure smooth communication and executionInfluence stakeholders without direct authority to drive alignment and executionCost Modeling & Analysis:Build and maintain detailed cost models (BOM, conversion cost, logistics)Perform should-cost analysis and benchmarkingAnalyze cost drivers and identify key levers for optimizationSupport supplier cost reduction initiatives and negotiationsEvaluate alternative suppliers, materials, and technologiesDrive cost transparency across the supply baseQualifications & Experience Required:5+ years of experience in: Cost reduction / cost engineering / sourcing / operationsProject or program managementProven track record of delivering measurable cost savingsStrong analytical and financial acumenExperience with cross-functional collaboration in a manufacturing environmentPreferred:Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certificationERP (SAP) and cost modeling tools experiencePMP certification or equivalentCompetencies:Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkCompensation:Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $93,200 – $116,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + BenefitsBenefits:A comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off and voluntary benefits.EOE, Including Disability/VetsImportant Notice Regarding Recruitment Fraud: TE Connectivity has become aware of fraudulent recruitment activities being conducted by individuals or organizations falsely claiming to represent TE Connectivity.
