Noon/Playground Aide

Start Date: As agreed upon for the School Year
Position Type: Part-time, 2 hours a day on student contact days only
Location: Cañon Exploratory School
Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the Instructional Support Salary Schedule and based on education and experience. $16.50-$17.82 per hour/minimum pay.
QUALIFICATIONS :

• Aide positions require a high school diploma or equivalent to.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public.
• Ability to read, write and speak in order to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
• Ability to supervise children in grades K-5 on the playground setting and in the lunchroom.
• Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports Systems.
• Ability to work with others.
• Initiative to seek solutions to problems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Pass pre-employment physical.

POSITION DUTIES INCLUDE :

• Demonstrate reliability in all work situations.
• Present a professional appearance personally and in the work area.
• Promote and maintain positive working relationships with peers, students, parents and the public.
• Be knowledgeable about the job.
• Always strive to stay on task and produce high quality work.
• Model the District's Mission and Belief Statements.
• Meet the educational, physical and emotional needs of students assigned.
• Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.
• Ability to work with a variety of students with special needs.
• Will include outside supervision in inclement weather.
• Supervise children in the lunchroom and outside from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
