Noninvasive Cardiologist

Hartford HealthCare’s Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a full-time noninvasive Cardiologist for an inpatient and outpatient hybrid position primarily based at Hartford Hospital. This role involves providing consultative care for patients with medium to high cardiac complexity, alongside outpatient clinical care and noninvasive imaging interpretation across the network. Clinicians will enjoy a collaborative, physician-led environment working with a multidisciplinary team of advanced practice providers and sub-specialists.

Practice Info

• Primarily based at Hartford Hospital, one of the largest academic and surgical centers in the Northeast and the quaternary hub of Hartford HealthCare’s Heart & Vascular Institute
• Inpatient role focuses on consultative and follow-up care for patients with medium to high cardiac complexity admitted to the hospital
• Outpatient clinical care and noninvasive imaging interpretation take place across network hospitals during weeks not assigned to the inpatient service
• Partner with a team of Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers and sub-specialists including Advanced Heart Failure, Structural Heart, Interventional, Electrophysiology and Cardiac Surgery

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new consults, provide collaborative in-hospital care and rounding, and deliver transitional care for patients with heart-related conditions
• Participate in outpatient clinical care and noninvasive imaging interpretation, including echocardiography and stress testing, during weeks not assigned to the inpatient service
• Engage in clinical, research, and teaching opportunities with fellows and the clinical cardiology team

• Full-time

Requirements

• BC/BE in Cardiovascular Medicine and Echocardiography
• CT License or eligible
• Proficiency in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography is preferred
• Nuclear cardiology certification is preferred
