This role offers the opportunity to practice at a 703-bed Level 1 Trauma/Tertiary Care Center with state-of-the-art facilities and an expanding Cardiovascular Institute. - Part of Carilion Clinic's integrated nationally recognized cardiac network with an established and growing Cardiology section.
- Supported by a large primary care and specialty referral base.
- State-of-the-art facilities including 6 catherization laboratories, 64-slice detector CT scanner, cardiac MRI, electrophysiology, structural heart program, ventricular assist devices, and CT Surgery.
- The Cardiovascular Institute will expand significantly over the next seven years with over $1 billion in capital improvements, including a new Crystal Spring Tower opening in 2025 dedicated to emergency and heart patients.
- The Section of Cardiology has fellowships in general, interventional, and structural cardiology.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-invasive cardiology care.
- Intermittent outreach to hospitals or clinics within 60 minutes of Roanoke is expected.
- Teaching opportunities for medical students, residents, and cardiology Fellows.
- Research opportunities at Carilion or in collaboration with the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute.
Compensation
- Min Starting Salary: $520,000.
- Max Starting Salary: $748,056.
- Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary.
- Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary.

Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease is required.
- Echo and nuclear skills are required.
- Advanced imaging certification is desirable.
