Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their team at the Sanford Heart Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. This role offers the opportunity to work within a large, integrated health system dedicated to transforming healthcare experiences in America's heartland. The successful candidate will join a robust cardiology group and engage in a busy, varied schedule covering hospital services, clinic, and various lab readings.
Practice Info
- Join staff including 8 general cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists, 5 interventional cardiologists, 4 cardiothoracic surgeons, and 12 advanced practice providers.
- On-call is split evenly among the general cardiologists.
- Hospital service is supported by advanced practice providers.
- Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents are assigned to hospital service.
- Cardiac CT and MRI available.
- Progressive engagement in research and early adopters of new surgical advancements.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide treatment or consultative services for adult patients presenting with diseases of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels.
- Cover hospital/consult service, clinic, and echo/nuclear/CT/PET labs and reading.

Shift & Schedule
- Busy revolving schedule covering hospital/consult service, clinic, and echo/nuclear/CT/PET labs and reading.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- BC/BE in Cardiology.
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Internal Medicine residency program.
- Completion of a fellowship in Cardiology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency.
- Certification by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training.
- Demonstrate active involvement of 100 cardiology procedures (for applicants not directly out of fellowship).
