UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is seeking a full-time Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their expanding team in New Castle and/or Hermitage, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will receive a clinical academic appointment, providing both inpatient and outpatient services across UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon locations. Practice Info
- HVI at UPMC Jameson; UPMC Horizon is comprised of 4 full-time cardiologists and 10 APPs serving two suburban areas near Pittsburgh
- Part-time services are provided by 4 Electrophysiologists, a Heart Failure specialist, 3 vascular surgeons, 1 thoracic surgeon, and 1 cardiothoracic surgeon
- HVI’s outpatient office in New Castle is located inside UPMC Jameson along with a full range of diagnostic services including 2 cath labs
- HVI Horizon-Greenville is located within UPMC Horizon Greenville hospital
- HVI Horizon-Shenango is located across the street from UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley hospital
- Neighboring, community teaching hospitals with three hospital facilities providing nearly 200 beds located in Greenville, the Shenango Valley, and New Castle
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and critical care services
- Conduct ECG analysis and interpretation of transthoracic echocardiograms
- Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear studies
- Participate in optional teaching
- Perform duties in weekly rotation with cardiologists within the practice
- Share weekend coverage on a 1:4 basis

Requirements
- Board Certification in Cardiology
- Valid Pennsylvania medical license
- Proven experience in non-invasive cardiology practices
