White Mountain Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Cardiologist to join our clinical team. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care to both outpatient clinic patients and inpatients as needed. The Cardiologist will play a key role in advancing one of our strategic initiatives—expanding access to specialized care for both young families and our aging population.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions and diseases.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and coordinate referrals as needed.
- Perform early detection screenings and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Collaborate with nursing, administrative, and medical staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuing education.
- Support hospital-wide emergency preparedness and community wellness events.
- Ensure compliance with WMRMC policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Education & Certification
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology (ABIM)
- Valid Arizona State Medical License
- DEA Certification
- BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time cardiology practice
- Completion of ACGME-accredited residency and cardiology fellowship
- Proficiency in cardiology-related procedures and diagnostics
- Strong knowledge of cardiac systems and disease management

- Minimal travel; must have reliable transportation to and from the facility
