UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is seeking a full-time, non-invasive cardiologist for a clinical academic appointment in Hermitage and/or New Castle, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services while collaborating with an experienced team of advanced practice providers. Practice Info
- Clinical academic appointment providing inpatient/outpatient services at UPMC Jameson &/or UPMC Horizon locations
- HVI at UPMC Jameson; UPMC Horizon is comprised of 4 full-time cardiologists and 10 APPs
- Part-time services provided by 4 Electrophysiologists, a Heart Failure specialist, 3 vascular surgeons, 1 thoracic surgeon, and 1 cardiothoracic surgeon
- Outpatient office in New Castle is located inside UPMC Jameson with full range of diagnostic services including 2 cath labs
- HVI Horizon-Greenville is located within UPMC Horizon Greenville hospital, and HVI Horizon-Shenango is located across the street from UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley hospital
- Neighboring, community teaching hospitals providing regionalized care across Mercer and Lawrence counties in western PA
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and critical care services
- Perform ECG analysis and interpretation of transthoracic echocardiograms
- Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear studies
- Participate in optional teaching duties
- Perform duties in weekly rotation with cardiologists within the practice
- Provide shared weekend coverage on a 1:4 basis

Requirements
- Board Certification in Cardiology
- Valid Pennsylvania medical license
- Proven experience in non-invasive cardiology practices
