About this role

Intermountain Health is proud to announce the development of a new cardiology practice in the beautiful community of Burley, Idaho. This region has a long‑standing need for a local cardiologist, creating an opportunity to build a high‑impact practice from the ground up. With strong community demand and an established referral base, patient volumes are expected to grow rapidly. This new practice offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of a close‑knit, scenic community supported by Intermountain Health's integrated system, resources, and commitment to quality care.

  • You would work 4 days per week in a beautiful, newly renovated multi‑specialty clinic
  • As the program grows, rounding in the morning may be required at Cassia Regional Hospital, a 25‑bed critical access hospital
  • No call or weekends, but may be called on occasion for a hospital consult
  • You would be supported by a Medical Assistant in the clinic
  • Case review meetings happen 2 times per month with the northern Utah teams, along with a journal club once a month
  • Hospital administration is engaging and supportive

How we'll support you

Compensation: Our generous compensation begins with a 4 day work week salary of $457,100. There is up to $90,000 in continuous improvement bonuses available in year two. Additional incentives are as follows:

  • CME: up to $4500 annually
  • Starting Bonus: $30,000 paid out within 45 days after your start date and requires a 2 year commitment
  • Relocation: up to $20,000 paid out within 45 days after your start date and requires a 2 year commitment

What you\'ll bring

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology
  • Unrestricted ID MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • U.S. ACGME Residency
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
  • Experience in building and growing a cardiology practice, preferred
