Job Purpose
The Non-Certified Medical Aide assists with patient care and helps to keep the flow of duties running smoothly. They must uphold the company’s policies and procedures and act within ethical boundaries. They must have strong customer service and communication skills. This full-time role requires regular attendance and maintaining a full-time schedule consistent with departmental and organizational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to patient flow changes appropriately.
- Monitor well‑child and sick visits to ensure patient availability for physician care.
- Communicate efficiently with nurses and other medical staff to optimize patient flow.
- Room patients, perform vitals (weight, height, head measurement), hearing and vision tests, and documentation as necessary.
- Anticipate procedures and provide equipment as instructed by nurse or physician, and provide assistance as requested.
- Complete forms as requested.
- Clean and stock exam rooms daily and as needed.
- Enter immunization records as needed.
- Assist with lab collection and requisitions.
- Maintain nursing workstations.
- Cooperate with nursing and front‑office staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Function as part of the team and communicate with all team members.
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and practice policies and procedures.
- Remain calm and professional in all situations.
- Demonstrate initiative and use time efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Actively pursuing or planning a career in medicine (e.g., pre‑med or medical school interest required).
- Current Basic Life Support Certification.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Standing >50%, Sitting <50%, Walking <50%, Lifting <10%, Bending <10%.

- Requires sufficient hearing level to communicate effectively with people directly or by telephone.
- Occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Details
- Hours M–F from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm as needed (Saturdays 7:30 am – 12:00 pm as needed).
- Hours are approximate and may be altered by supervisors as needed.
- Shifts are generally 8 hours in length in clinic.
- Full‑time employees have an expected workweek of 40 hours.
