Position Summary

The 5G Policy Controller Deployment Engineer will play a key role in deploying, integrating, and validating cloud‑native PCF/PCRF solutions for major telecom core networks. This role supports mission‑critical 5G core functions, ensuring seamless policy management and high‑performance service enablement.

Detailed Job Description

In this position, you will support end‑to‑end deployment and integration of policy control solutions across cloud‑native 5G core environments. You will work closely with engineering, cloud, and integration teams to install applications, validate infrastructure readiness, analyze call flows, and troubleshoot deployment failures. The role involves hands‑on work with Kubernetes‑based environments, multi‑vendor PCF/PCRF platforms, and cloud networking. You will be responsible for creating technical deployment artefacts, performing RCA, ensuring successful system bring‑up, and integrating applications with peer network functions within the 5G Core ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare installation MOPs, deployment guides, and technical artefacts for policy controller rollout.
• Validate cloud environments, including networking, images, resources, and Kubernetes readiness.
• Perform application installation, upgrades, and rollback when required.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for failed deployments and provide corrective action plans.
• Execute system health checks and post‑installation verification procedures.
• Integrate PCF/PCRF applications with peer network elements within the 5G Core architecture.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Nokia PCF/PCRF or Cisco Quantum Policy Suite.
• Deep understanding of 5G Core architecture, interfaces, and call flows.
• Proficiency in cloud‑native environments, virtualization, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with multi‑vendor PCRF/PCF platforms including Nokia, Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei, Openet, Mavenir, Affirmed Networks, ZTE, NetNumber, or similar.
• Solid troubleshooting, logs analysis, and deployment support capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of policy control functions, 4G/5G signalling, and integration procedures.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience with cloud automation tools (Helm, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
• Familiarity with service‑based architecture in 5G Core (SBI).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or DevOps workflows.
• Knowledge of container networking and cloud security best practices.
