Are you a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospitalist seeking a dedicated night-shift locum tenens opportunity in New England? We are seeking skilled Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians to provide nocturnal inpatient hospitalist coverage. Featuring flexible 12-hour night block scheduling, a manageable overnight admission volume, APP support, and no procedural or code requirements, this assignment offers a streamlined nocturnal practice setting with fast credentialing.

Step into a community hospital environment, serving as the primary nocturnal hospitalist managing overnight admissions and cross-coverage alongside supportive clinical staff.

• Clinical Scope: Provide comprehensive overnight inpatient medicine care, including:

  • Evaluating and managing nighttime inpatient floor admissions and patient cross-coverage

  • Managing nocturnal admissions and stabilizing patients within an open ICU setting

  • Collaborating directly with on-duty APPs and multidisciplinary support teams

• Procedural & Emergency Expectations:

  • Procedures: Zero procedures required.

  • Codes & Rapid Responses: Not required in most cases (handled by designated emergency/ICU teams).

• The Schedule: Flexible block scheduling dedicated exclusively to overnight coverage.

  • Shift Structure: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM ).

  • Assignment Duration: Immediate start available with ongoing nocturnal coverage needs.

• Compensation & Logistics: Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience and nocturnal schedule). Full malpractice coverage ($1M/$3M claims-made), travel, and lodging provided.

• Degree & Board Status: MD or DO; Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Connecticut State Medical License (or IMLC eligibility).

• Life Support: Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.

• Background: Clean background for expedited credentialing and privilege processing.
