The Division of Hospital Medicine (DHM) of the Mount Sinai Health System, NY, is actively recruiting Nocturnist physicians for Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Queens, and Mount Sinai St. Luke's. This role involves providing nighttime coverage on the observation unit for patients admitted through the emergency department, as well as serving as backup for housestaff on general medical wards. - The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking Nocturnist physicians for Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Queens, and Mount Sinai St. Luke's.
- The chosen candidate will serve as a hospitalist on the observation unit providing nighttime coverage responsible for the care of patients admitted to the observation unit through the emergency department.
- The physician will serve as backup for the housestaff who are providing nighttime coverage for patients admitted to the general medical wards.

Responsibilities
- Complete daily Rotations
- Accept care of critical patients from outside Emergency Personnel
- Diagnose patients and develop treatment plans
- Order diagnostic tests
- Accurately document care provided
- Share care responsibilities and coverage with other team members
- Collaborate with multi-specialty practice colleagues as an integral part of a health system
- Oversight/direct supervision of medical housestaff as well as allied health personnel (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, etc.)
Compensation
- Compensation range from $180,000 to $340,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
- Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need.

Shift & Schedule
- The physician will work a 7-on/7-off schedule.
- Shifts begin at 7pm and end after morning signout at roughly 7:30am.
Requirements
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York State Medical License
- BE or BC in Internal Medicine
