Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician

• Closely knit, established team of 18 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers (APPs), supported by a clinical performance nurse

• UNC Nash is a well-established hospital in Rocky Mount, NC, offering a wide range of services, including a semi-open ICU, intensive care coverage, and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Welcome complex cases while ensuring our team is supported with resources like intensivists and e-ICU

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist care in a semi-open ICU with intensivist coverage during the day and E-ICU coverage at night
• Participate in the code team
• Focus on delivering high-quality care
• Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)

Compensation

• Competitive compensation package and higher pay with bonuses
• Average of $380,000 - $390,000 for nocturnists

Shift & Schedule

• Nocturnist hours are 7p-7a, 7-days-on, 7-days-off with schedule flexibility

Requirements

• Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours
• Board-certified physician with experience in hospital medicine or a desire to transition into the field
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
