Nocturnist Hospitalist

UF Health - Durbin Park Hospital is seeking a Nocturnist Hospitalist to join their close-knit team of 8 physicians in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a brand new, state-of-the-art 150-bed hospital opening in September 2026. The position emphasizes collaborative care and professional growth within a vibrant community.

Practice Info

• Join a team of 8 physicians at UF Durbin Park Hospital.
• Brand new, state-of-the-art, 150-bed hospital slated to open in September 2026.
• Closed ICU with 24/7 Intensivist.
• No procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform cross-coverage calls on an ADC of 30-40 with 8 admissions/night.
• Help support the hospitalist team’s efforts in utilization management, compliance, clinical documentation improvement, and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist Director on performance improvement initiatives such as length of stay, readmissions, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• ABIM- or ABFM-certified with prior hospitalist experience.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of recent, previous hospitalist experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• No J-1 or H-1 visa waivers sponsorship available.
