This role collaborates with site Management and supports them in all employee related efforts.
The shift supervisor is responsible for shift productivity. They assist with training, various compliance matters, discipline, employee engagement and retention efforts. They consistently demonstrate, promote, and display behaviors aligned to company core values. This job operates both in a professional office environment and in a factory setting.
Walking the Plant floor is necessary which is within a non-climate-controlled environment. Will require wearing Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses or ear protectors.Job LocationThis is an onsite role based in Dover, DE.Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure all safety guidelines are followed (i.e., PPE, plant cleanliness, clear work areas, etc.)Ensures an effective shift hand-offCoordinates with Team Lead and Operators to ensure the production schedule is followedResponsible for their shift production metrics; (scrap, pounds, feet)Ensures all quality and packaging standards are metEnsures proper training of shift personnelCompletes all required paperwork, and computer entriesEffectively ensures all personnel are performing all job duties assignedPerforms any disciplinary/coaching itemsCompletes performance reviews and assessments for assigned staffAbility to manage PTO requests to ensure proper team coverageCompletes and processes time- off requests and timesheets for payrollJob RequirementsMinimum of 4 years supervisory experience with demonstrated progressive responsibility4-year degree or equivalent experience5s, 6-sigma, and/or continuous improvement experience a plusExperience working in a manufacturing/Distribution organization is preferredProfessional and personable.
