Job Description
McLeod Regional Medical Center, a tertiary care and major referral center in the area with four intensive care units and a 24/7 staffing model by both physicians and advanced practice providers, is looking for a motivated APP to join our critical care team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a critical care setting, although new graduates are welcome to apply. You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team that values a collegial, patient‑centered approach. Join our team of skilled professionals!
Qualifications/Training
- Minimum of a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Master of Science).
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
- State of South Carolina certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co‑workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Records physical findings, and formulates plans and prognosis based on patient’s condition.
- Plans, implements, and coordinates care to meet the holistic, age‑specific needs of patients.
- Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
- Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
- Discusses case with physician and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan.
