Job PostingThis is a nightshift position but will start on first shift for training.DutiesDuties include but are not limited to:Monitoring the entire milling system to ensure that the process is running at optimum performance and the finished product produced meets all targeted specificationsMeasuring and recording the required parameters of the milling processMonitoring and recording metal detector, magnet and sifter tailing findingsComplete assigned cleaning and maintenance activitiesAssist in the packing operation when necessaryResponsibility to proactively offer facility and system improvementsActively participate in workplace safety and food safety trainingResponsibility to comply with all food safety and work place safety policiesResponsibility to report any issues involving food safety and sanitationResponsibility to observe and report any unusual activity regarding site securityPerform other duties as requiredMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredSuccessful completion of the IAOM milling correspondence courseSuccessful completion of the KSU milling short courseKnowledge of Microsoft Office preferredOccasional flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, or extended hours may be required to provide coverage during vacations, absences, or increased business demandsPhysically able to perform all milling requirements including but not limited to:Ability to walk stairs and climb up and down bulk trailers during the course of a nine hour shiftGeneral cleaningGeneral mill maintenance and repairAbility to lift up to 50 lb. sacksPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job during a shift (hours and shifts may vary as needed).Ability to walk, climb, bend and reach overhead frequentlyAbility to climb stairs, ladders, and work safely from a ladder frequentlyMust be able to lift 50 pounds on occasionGeneral cleaningGeneral maintenance and repairWork EnvironmentThe work environment described here are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential function of this job.Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable; Noise level is moderateRequires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditionsEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
